Installations

I often think art which hangs on a wall is more accessible, we all have walls on which stuff can be hung. Installations and sculptures are harder to accommodate, plus they acquire dust!

Super Plonk

Picture
Inspired by Jason Thompson's fantastic book on altered books. I think most these type of book sculptures lack a narrative or metaphor, they just look pretty. Why is that enough for some people?

Pigeon Post

Picture
Origami pigeons made out of old envelopes. I don't think this picture does it justice really. Need to try and retake with better light. It hangs over the stairs in my home. I think there are about 70 pigeons in total. They're quite easy to make and assembled in a random pattern. Would a more organised formation be better?

Climbing The Corporate Ladder

Picture
Made out of some of my old business cards following a promotion. This is only really a prototype, I'm hoping to get round to making a more detailed piece in a few years times when I a) have enough old business cards and b) the time.

Untitled

Picture
Geometric modular origami made from an old maths book.
